How do you create repeated geometric pattern step by step?

  1. Frist, select rectangle tool from toolbar then click on the canvas, where the width is 200 and height is 100 pixels then click ok. Here stroke color will be black and the stroke width will be 5 pixels. Click on the move tool and align the shape in the middle of the canvas.

2. Go to the layer panel and duplicate the layer, then go to the edit menu here select transform and then select rotate 90°cw.

3. Now Select both layer and merge them.

Again duplicate the layer, here I will duplicate the layer 4 Times, and arrange the shape in four corners on the canvas to create the pattern. Afterward, go to the edit menu, select the defined pattern, and save it.

4. Now again go to the file menu and create a new document, here width and height IS 2000/1000 pixels, the color mode will be RGB, the background contents will be white, then click Ok.

5. Go to the layer panel and unlock the layer, then go to the new fill and adjustment option, here select pattern, in the pattern window click the drop-down menu and select the pattern which you recently saved, and set the scale of the pattern it’s 100%, then click ok.

6. Go to the new fill and adjustment option, select solid color, select a color you want for the pattern, and click ok. Then Right click on the color fill 1 layer here select Create a clipping Mask, select background layer, choose the color for the background, and apply it.

Now the pattern is Complete
