How do you make new documents for patterns?
For creating a document hit on the File menu then select new, where width is 600 and height is 100 pixels, Resolution is 72 pixels, the color mode is RGB, and the background content will be white then click ok.
How do you create wood texture step by step?
1. First, set the foreground and the background color here foreground color will be black and the background color will be white.
2. Now go to the layer panel and unlock the layer, then go to the filter menu here select render then click on the clouds.
3. Click on the image menu then select canvas size, here canvas width and height will be 600/600 pixels.
Then press Ctrl+ T to increase the image height as well as the canvas size. here the canvas and the image height are 600/600 pixels.

4. Now click on the filter menu then here select blur then motion blur, in the motion blur window here angle will be <90° and the distance is 370 pixels, then click ok.
5. Again go to the filter menu, here select other then offset, in the offset window here horizontal pixels right is (+3), the Vertical pixels down are (+600) and undefined area will be warped around, now click ok.
6. Now go to the image menu then select adjustment then posturize, here level value will be 30 then click ok.
7. Again click on the filter menu here select stylize then click on the find edges.
After that go to the image menu here select adjustment then select desaturate, again click on the image menu then select adjustment then select the level, here input level handle will be on the left side. then click ok.
8. Now again go to filter menu select noise then add noise, here amount will be 60%, distribution is Gaussian and monochromatic will be check on, then click ok.
9. After that duplicate the layer, then go to filter menu here select other then offset, here horizontal value is 3 pixels right and the vertical value is 600 pixels down and undefined area will be warp around, then click ok.
10. Again go to filter the menu, then click on the blur then motion blur here angle <90° and distance will be 10 pixels, then click ok.
11. Select your 1st layer then go to filter menu, here select blur then motion blur here the angle is <90° and the distance will be 10 pixels, then click ok.
Again go to filter menu select other then offset here all the value will be same as shown then click ok.
12. Now Select both layer and merge them, right click on the layer and duplicate it, after that select the duplicated layer then select transform then rotate 180°.
13. Again go to image menu then select adjustment then levels, here set output levels it will be 0 and 134, then click ok, again go to filter menu select sharpen and again select sharpen.
14. Now select 1st layer, and off the 2nd Layer visibility indicator.
Then go to image menu, select adjustment then levels, here input levels value will be: 105, 1.00, 255, then click ok, now go to filter menu select sharpen and again select sharpen.
15. Now on your 2nd Layer visibility indicators, then select both layer and set your blending mode for the layer it will normal to overlay, now select your 2nd layer and set the opacity 70%, after that select your 1st layer and set opacity 30%.
16. Now select the 2nd layer, then go to New fill and adjustment option in the layer panel then select solid color, choose yellow ochre color for the wooden texture, now select color fill layer and drag the layer to the bottom of the both layer.
Now the wood texture is complete
